Eye to Eye with a Moth.....

......I was telling my wife that I thought it was laying eggs on this material in her sewing room, and she said, "well you are shooting the wrong end of the moth to see if it was laying eggs", but what she doesn't seem to realize is that she is looking at a cropped version of the entire moth after I realized it wan't laying eggs, but I played along and said, "oh, darn, you are right, what was I thinking, and she walked away giggling......

A super close view of this moth's eye.....but really Den, you are lucky you did not get a clip round the ear for letting this creature anywhere near to the materils.....:))))

Excellent details of this moth. They are so hard to shoot as they never look like they are in focus. Very nice close up.

indeed soooo close and so sharp all the hairy bits,
feelers and the watchful eye ... love your story, Dennis - and speaking of moths - I just found three holes in my favourite handknit sweater which had been tucked away for the Winter ;-((((
