Memories Are Made of This...

Finding a decades-old slide while searching one’s slide boxes for
entirely different subject matter can bring on a flood of memories.

She was sweet…and I was very young.

“She” was my first “new” car, a 1963 Ford Galaxie 500 convertible.
The badge on her front quarter panel signifies that under her
broad hood purrs the big “Thunderbird” 390 cid V-8 engine.

Funny how that “new car smell” always manages to trigger a
Pavlovian response in the photographer. And if you find yourself searching
your library for Dean Martin’s recording of the tune, we are kindred spirits.
