The Living Forest (369) : Barn owl
The Barn Owl with its heart shaped face is a bird of open country like farmland or grassland but prefers to hunt along the edges of forests.
It’s a nocturnal bird but can also often be seen in the morning or evening twilight.
I spotted this owl at 6 o'clock in the morning close to the spot in the forest where I shot my yesterday picture (see below)

German name : Schleiereule
