Yellow Iris
Yellow Iris is a typical wetland plant native to Europe, western Asia and northwest Africa.
Bright yellow flowers make it especially showy during its short blooming period.
This species is known to be able to remove heavy metals through its roots from waste waters without dying itself !
Dutch name : Gele lis
German name : Sumpf-Schwertlilie (auch Wasser-Schwertlilie genannt)
Latin name : Iris pseudacorus
