This guy was sitting at the street, next to the main street of Oslo.
But I saw him like he is sitting on the sidelines of life. What was strange for me, he wasn't asking for money. He was enjoing his cup of coffee.
Thanks for all your comments, Harold!

Hi Harald.I have heard nothing as to why the river bed shifted. The entire area of Sossus Vlei is a valley in the dune belt with a northern and a southern shore. Judging by the many loose stones it could be that the entire valley was once a giant river. Scientists have confirmed that the Namib is the oldest desert and has always been a desert but there must have been huge rivers and also the Etosha Pans in the north was originally a lake and then the "supplying" river changed course and the Etosha Pans turned into salt pans which only occasionally (with good rains ) again carry shallow water. Wish you a good sunday, regards, cathy
