A Glimpse of Jerusalem (3)

a group of young men with traditional long locks of sideburn hair (payot) and large fur hats (shtreimel).
Payot are worn by some men and boys in the Orthodox Jewish community based on an interpretation of the Biblical injunction against shaving the "corners" of one's head. Literally, pe'ah means "corner, side, edge". There are different styles of payot among Haredi / Hasidic, Yemenite, and Chardal Jews. The Shtreimel is usually worn by married men, but in some groups also by boys since their Barmizvah.

I was excited to have these traditionally clothed men come towards me, forgot to reset my ISO, so this is not a great photo, but a memory !!

Eine wundervolle Erinnerung aus Jerusalem, zeigst Du uns hier, liebe Adele.
Traditionell, bzw. ein Stück ihres Glaubens an Gott !!
Die orthodoxen Juden bzw, die ultraorthodoxen Juden, leben hauptsächlich im
Stadtteil Me'a Sche'arim... Dort ist diese Kleidung überwiegend ..Alltag !!
Ich mag die Serie sehr !!!
