Sea gulls are interesting. I like to take pictures of this birds. But I am living far away from the North sea or Baltic sea and usually don't see them at all.

  In this case you must to find another kinds of birds to enjoit shooting. Maybe in parks on green area...

  Dear Florin,
  you are right. But before I start "catching" birds I need a lens with more focal length. You used 189mm which is enough for a sea gull but for most birds in wildlife photograpyh I need more focal length. Actually I photographed some sea gulls in 2018 and 2019 at a lake called "Müritz". But I wasn't close enough. This year I didn't go to lake "Müritz" because of Covid 19. The situation was not stable enough. I was afraid that the federal state might ban entries again like they did in march. We canceled the trip which was already booked. At the end is was a wrong decision since there were no serious problems.

  Hi!!To take photo at birds I use Nikon Fx format D 800 and 28-300mm which in Dx format can be 450 mm.I did use as well Panasonic Fz 82 with 20-1200 mm, but unfortunately it is a compact camera with a small senzor (but good).In the future I want to get Nikon p1000 with 24-3000mm which I guess it is the ideal camera for birds photography.Kind regards!!

  Thanks Florin for the information. Unfortunately it took me a while to answer but I was pretty busy. The Nikon D800 is an impressive "toy" ;-) I am a user of Canon but only in APS-C-Format which calls Nikon Dx Format. Canon has no such term. Because of financial reasons I won't change soon to Dx Format (the term which uses Nikon). I stay with the smaller sensors.
