A nine-pointed star piñata is a container often made of papier-mâché, pottery, or cloth; it is decorated, and filled with candy and then broken as part of a celebration. Piñatas are commonly associated with Mexico. The idea of breaking a container filled with treats came to Europe in the 14th century, where the name, from the Italian pignatta, was introduced. The Spanish brought the European tradition to Mexico, although there were similar traditions in Mesoamerica.

When I was a kid in the country, there was still the tradition of the pinata.The pinata was full of dried fruit, candy and confetti and broke on the first day of Lent.

J'apprends ce qu'est une pînata ; C'est dommage de casser çà mais, heureusement il reste cette jolie photo très gaie qui ressort superbement sur ces tubulures bleues du hall .Bravo et merci de cette découverte en partage .
