Lenten Rose
Despite the very cold freezing weather last february, the first harbingers of early spring can be found in nature, like this lenten rose.
This flower blooms very early in the year but is 100% frost-resistant.
Despite its English name, this flower does not belong to the rose family but to the genus Ranunculus.
Dutch name : Oosters Nieskruid
German name : Orientalische Nieswurz (auch Frühlings-Christrose order Lenzrose genannt)
Latin name : Helleborus orientales
