Little Venice in Germany
Taken during my visit to Bamberg, Germany; a city whose medieval town center has been added to the UNESCO Word Heritage listings. The once fisherman's settlement was lovingly named "Little Venice" .Dating from the Middle Ages, these small, half-timbered houses, standing side-by-side with their balconies and tiny front gardens, line the shores of Regnitz. Vielleicht hätte man das hässliche Monstrum doch nicht gerade so in die MITTE nehmen sollen, aber es macht das etwas gequält-Malerische dieser künstlichen Idylle eben im Kontrast überdeutlich, insofern eine zumindest ehrliche Aufnahme!! Forget the "romantic" Germany....Norbert
