Namibia Nature - Natures Design in Kuiseb Rivier
After the recent rains in Namibia, many of the dry rivers started to flow, some for the first time in many years. The water does not remain on the surface for very long and is absorbed into the sand and ground water where it is stored and fills up the wells in the area, thus providing much needed water for the communities living in the Namib. Recently the Kuiseb River came down and just 24hrs after the food the water had already dried up and this is the type of design that nature has left behind at the very edge where the flood water meets the desert. It is my first time to experience such an event and I was very interested to see the beautiful "artworks" which remained behind as a reminder of natures great beauty.
