On the Shore in Stanley - Falklands/Malvinas

Stanley or Port Stanley is the capital of the Falkland Islands (islas Malvinas). It is located on the island of East Falkland, on a north-facing slope in one of the wettest parts of the islands. At the 2012 census, the town had a population of 2,121 ...... and it was totally empty when we visited - walking along the rugged shoreline to Gypsy Cove past the few old boats in the harbour basin ...

It's a beautiful photo, Adele, of what looks a desert and rather "disregarded" shore but I would say with a special attraction and interest..Silence and peace must have been its main caracteristics...

Avec les Falkland, tu as choisi une destination de voyage très originale. Elle nous rappelle le souvenir d'une guerre meurtrière, mais tu me fais envie: ces lieux désertés par les touristes (totally empty when we visited) deviennent rares et sont finalement les plus intéressants, les plus pittoresques.

A capital with a population of just 2.121 souls. You are showing very nicely the atmosphäre of the rather quiet area of our world. The boats are very nice, and the quality of the photo is fantastic.
