My daughter saw Waffle playing with something in the garden which we thought was a vole. (it usually is!) When she realized it was a bird she ran out and rescued it from Waffles clutches. Then we saw it was a little baby bird! Aw, poor thing. It was a bit dazed but after a bit of respite and recovery it flapped away to live another day.

Sweet story and a charming photo. Let's hope little birdie learned early on to give even sweet kitties a very wide berth. Glad your daughter arrived in time!

What a wonderful story! I´m so happy to read that the birdy is alive. You can be proud of your daughter ;)

For cats, birds are just a toy. They havn´t emotions for little animals like birds and mice but we are able to rescue this helpless creatures from the cat´s claws and you did it!
