The Living Forest (277) : Common Carder Bee
I spotted this Common Carder Bee at work on Purple Deadnettle.
This species of bumblebee is present in most of the European forests.
Purple Deadnettle is a herbaceous flowering plant native to Europe & Asia and is often called a weed.
Though superficially similar to a Stinging Nettle (Urtica dioica) in appearance, it is not related and does not sting, hence the name "deadnettle".

German name : Ackerhummel auf Purpurrote Taubnessel
Latin name : Bombus pascuorum / Lamium purpureum
