The Living Forest (477) : Fallow Deer
Deep down in the forest, I spotted this male fallow deer showing proudly his majestic antlers.
This mammal inhabits mixed woodlands with dense undergrowth and open grassland all over Europe.
Peak activity is at dawn and dusk.

German name : Damhirsch
Latin name : Dama dama
Location : Raerener wald at Raeren (Belgium)
