Winter Solstice 2018

Today is Winter Solstice …. the 21st of December marks the beginning of Winter, but also the day when the days get longer again .... Vancouver has a tradition of festivals and light parades and celebrates this day ... however, I took this image in the Kunstmuseum in Aarhus, Denmark … just think
it fits the theme :-))

J'aime beaucoup ces Traditions du Nord..cette jeune femme, comme une statue, représente un être de la Nature, une Elvine ou une Nymphe, et célèbre cette importante phase de l'année, le solstice ! une belle élégance du modèle ! amitiés !

Belle tradition....je me pose une question : statue ou comédienne (à cause des frisettes des cheveux + drapé du vêtement) ?

  thank you, she was as motionless as a statue, it was hard to tell that she was actually a human being …. at times I still wonder myself and have enlarged the image to find a clue, but cannot !!!
