Zero Point

Greece at Zero Point, on EEC''s mercy..
By Monday(13/07/2015) the verdict. In or Out.

Greece is going through a very bad spell. We are experiencing situations that we have never thought of reaching even in our wildest dreams.Queuing out of closed banks to get a 50E note from the ATM or, much worse, out of supermarkets to cope with a possible scarcity of food, are necessities that surely degrade the dignity of any civilian belonging to the highly estimated group of civilized EEC members. In the recent months there were a lot of talks in radio, media and papers about the present Greek bankruptcy and, to a certain degree, we must apology for giving you blasting headaches as much about causes as for means of urgent and efficient solutions to our problems. Especially here in Greece we had enough of those and we are really fed up in investigating causes, discovering frauds and sending to court not only guilties but also innocents as it always happens in similar situations. Beleive me, it's really very difficult to keep far from a madding crowd of fired or unemployed that asks for victims to be thrown to beasts..And very easy for such a crowd to bring in power the "demagogues" that are extremely agile in caressing ears with faulty hopes and promises...
Personally, I have always been critical to a European community with mediocre leaders and hardly convincing for representing what we all hopped and wished for to be when it was initially formed and organized as an ambitious plan within a spirit of equality and mutual understanding. But, I shall also be the last one to accuse others and excempt ourselves Greeks from a great share of complicity for the present outcome. For many years Greece, being one of the founding members of EEC, kept profiting handsomely without contributing to a relevant degree. We, Greeks, kept enjoying a standard of living not corresponding to cautious and reserved limits but well exceeding the upper borders of them. We kept consuming without producing. We did nothing for necessary reforms in order to rescussitate a morbid and overloaded by social servants state, nothing to reactivate a paralized health and national security system, nothing to get rid of a contemptuous tendency to enhance tax envasion, laziness and early retirement. All these and hundred others inflated our national debt which eventually became a tight nooze around our neck and threw us to a fatal hug with the IFM.
A government of useless demagogues that have been elected out of an infuriated people that simply hated and voted against the others, made things worse...
Next Monday is the zero date...
