in the harbour of Stanley on East Falkland/Islas Malvinas an old fishing boat - and there were actually two people inside doing repairs ....

Stanley or Port Stanley is the capital of the Falkland Islands (islas Malvinas). It is located on the island of East Falkland, on a north-facing slope in one of the wettest parts of the islands. At the 2012 census, the town had a population of 2,121 ...... and it was totally empty when we visited - walking along the rugged shoreline to Gypsy Cove past the few old boats in the harbour basin ...
