Quando avevo 24 anni cioè 56 anni or sono ho vissuto per un anno in questa città ed ho persino conosciuto la mia attuale moglie, che non mi ha ancora mollato!!!
Così però ho dovuto rispolverare il mio diploma di "Lower Cambridge", regolarmente ottenuto a Londra, per capire cosa mi hai scritto.

Intanto rileggendomi ho notato un errore che avevo fatto nel risponderti.... l'Inglese non si finisce mai di impararlo, e comunque è molto diverso da quello che ancora insegnano nei corsi, sorattutto quello parlato, spesso infarcito di slang e emericanate, per non parlare poi della pronuncia.... vabbè io e te parliamo Italiano che è meglio :DD

..first I thought you was back in Italy, because ofe the house on the right side...it's unusual for a modern town...in former times we had such houses with overhanging balconies or floors in our towns - so the houses getting bigger...in middle-age cities the prices for an estate were high, so you got a small area and build it up, every floor a little wider. But now, the prices are still high...and the houses were owned by rich people, only by rich people..Ciao, cara Crissy! Mille baci! Love, Ansgar
It is a historic district dating back to Queen Victoria times, near Tower Bridge, a huge warehouses complex used to store colonial products such as tea, coffee and spices. Today the neighbourhood has been refreshed and converted to residential use. The house on the right is a modern building which is going to be restored and is covered by scaffolding and tarpaulins
I'm glad if I disguised it and made it look like a fine ancient house with my post work. :)))
My understanding is that once you buy a house in England you only enjoy the rights for 100 years after which the property reverts fully to the Kingdom...I am not aware if the rules have changed in the meantime.
