Beijing National Stadium

Also called the Bird's Nest was the stadium for the Olympic Games in 2008.
The stadium was a joint venture among architects Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Meuron of Switzerland and inspirated by the famous Chinese artist Ai Weiwei.
The rainy and misty weather made a walk around a bit unpleasant.

    Das feine Licht gibt dem Stadion etwas Mystreriöses, es würde bei Sonnenschein sicher ganz anders wirken.

    Danke Bernd, in China geht alles viel viel schneller, als in Deutschland. Wer das damals marode China noch vor 25 Jahren bereiste und es mit heute vergleicht, der bekommt die Augen nicht mehr zu. Die Entwicklung geht rasant voran, wie kaum in einem anderen Land, Gruß Wolfgang
