la nouvelle église Kaiser Wilhelm Gedaechtnis
est construite en béton, en acier et en verre. Les murs de l’église sont faits d’un nid d’abeille en béton contenant 21 292 incrustations de vitraux. Le verre a été conçu par Gabriel Loire d’après la cathédrale de Chartres. La couleur principale est le bleu, avec de petites zones de rouge rubis, vert émeraude et jaune.
À l’intérieur de l’église, une figure du Christ ressuscité est suspendue au-dessus de l’autel. Celui-ci est fabriqué à partir de tombak et a été conçu par Karl Hemmeter.

the new Kaiser Wilhelm Gedaechtnis church is built of concrete, steel and glass. The walls of the church are made of a concrete honeycomb containing 21,292 stained glass inlays. The glass was designed by Gabriel Loire after the Chartres Cathedral. The main colour is blue, with small areas of ruby red, emerald green and yellow.
Inside the church a figure of the resurrected Christ is suspended above the altar. This is made from tombak and was designed by Karl Hemmeter.
