Good Night, Cadiz
exercice No. 11 in the French FC: a city by night

Cádiz, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in Western Europe, with archaeological remains dating to 3100 years was founded by the Phoenicians. It has been a principal home port of the Spanish Navy since the 18th century. Situated on a narrow slice of land surrounded by the sea‚ Cádiz is, in most respects, a typically Andalusian city with a wealth of attractive vistas and well-preserved historical landmarks. The older part of Cádiz within the remnants of the city walls is commonly referred to as the Old Town.

Eine sehr schöne stimmungsvolle Aufnahme. Man spürt die vergehende Wärme des Tages und sieht der aufziehenden Nacht entgegen.

At the end of a weeklong buss trip through Andalusia, we had a Sherry trial session close to Cadiz,. Must admit, I did not see much of this faszinating city. Looks like I have to repeat the trip. I also have a desire to see Granada again.
