Castle Poeke (Belgium)
A powerful fortress was already built in the 12th century at this spot that served as a fighting bastion for the knights of the county of Flanders.
In the 15th century, the castle fell into ruin after a war.
2 centuries later, the castle was completely rebuilt.
Further expansions in the 18th and 19th century gave this colossal water castle its present view.
