Aegean sea Dodekanesa
Kalimnos island. One of the Dodekanesian islands. The island is famous for its gallant fishermen that plunge in extensive depths to search for sponges. In old days they did that by tying heavy stones around their waist...A lot of them were lost from "divers illness".
This is the view of the port.

I have heard of those sponge divers......not a good way of making a living, but......
An excellent shot of the port and township, but it all looks so barrenand rocky.......
