Arabic Translation: With Guevara The Hero of the Cuban Revolution at the house of the Governor-General Lieutenant General Ahmad Salem, Gaza, Year 1959.
During Che Guevara`s first visit to Egypt, Israel attacked Gaza which had been under Egyptian administration. Che Guevara visited Gaza on June 18, 1959 walking around in Palestinian refugee camps, where he was welcomed with chants of the Cuban revolution.
Che Guevara is an inspirational symbol for revolution against any oppression.
Cuba welcomed the founding of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), making official contact with it in 1965.
