The best I can do with my built in lens of PowerShot S3IS, hope I can get better result with reversed lens.

Dudy, thank you for your answer, I haven´t thought about that you might have additional lenses to put on the S3IS vise versa. Because your comment I will start to experiment this way with my S5IS using lenses from my DSLR. So thank you again starting my brain!Regards, Vera

Thank you for all your nice comment! :)@ Vera : I have the adapter for S3IS (58 mm diameter). All I have to do to reversed the lens is glued together two 58 mm UV filter one for the adapter and the other for the reversed lens . (The reversed lens I will use is a Canon 24-85mm that also have 58 mm filter thread) .
If you can master this ood looks technique, it will create an extreme macro that can ie capture the facets of a flies

@Vera ... maybe it has captured with scene configuration.
S3IS has the best scene shoot in the menus.

???How will you reverse the lens of the S3IS?
The only way to get better results is using some kind of close-up lens like the Canon 500d, Canon 250d, Raynox DCR-150 or the Raynox DCR-250. They fit to the filter adapter of your camera. I own some of this close-up lenses an I am very happy with them.
