High in the Southern Colorado Rockies......

.....this lake is fed from the snow caps just a few more thousand feet in elevation, the water is very cold even in the summer and the trout are not the biggest, but they are real fighters especially if caught on top-water flys, I am a catch and release fisherman, and use barb-less hooks and do not handle the trout if possible so they can live another day to thrill another fisherman down the road...... my first trip in here was with my camera, and after taking several hundred pictures in the area I sat down on the rock I took this image from and relaxed for about 20 or thirty minutes, then it was an hours hike back to the 4x4 Ford Expidition and another hour back to my sissy's house just outside Trinidad Colorado.......
