pour l’exercice n° 25 : Sculptures
Une sculpture grandeur nature de Jésus-Christ se trouve au centre-ville de Vancouver, mais il n’est pas affiché bien en vue sur une croix ou debout en prière solennelle. Cette représentation de Jésus est recroquevillée, blottie sous des couvertures trop courtes pour couvrir ses pieds, allongée sur un banc devant l’église Holy Rosary à l’angle des rues Dunsmuir et Richards

for exercise No. 25 in the French FC: Sculptures
A life-sized sculpture of Jesus Christ can be found in downtown Vancouver, but he isn’t displayed prominently on a cross, or standing in solemn prayer. This depictions of Jesus is curled up, huddled under blankets too short to cover his feet, laying on a bench in front of the Holy Rosary Church at Dunsmuir and Richards Streets.

Wow, quelle sculpture touchante et surprenante à la fois! C'est tellement inattendu, ce "Jesus" déposé sur un banc public après sa crucifixion dont on voit les marques sur les pieds! Le sculpteur très imaginatif en a fait un homme abandonné en ville, semblant dormir sous une couverture...Quelle invention fantastique, un homme urbain, une sorte de S.D.F (=Sans Domicile Fixe), on s'interroge, on pense, on imagine un scénario différent pour Jesus! Compliments pour la très belle qualité de définition et de cadrage, Adele,c'est fort! Bises et amitiés à toi, Michèle

Perfect, I love these kind of sculptures, which are translating daily situations into a meaningful motive. A fantastic work from Timothy Schmalz. The sculpture as such seem to travel around, as it has been in Toronto and as well in Montreal in front of St. James United Church in 2019.

  thank you so much for your comment and link, Manfred ... looked deeper into the statue's origin etc. - there are over 100 casts of it distributed in many cities all over the world.

IMPRESIONANTE esta escultura de Jesucristo sin hogar!
Este Jesús que representa a tantas personas sin hogar, durmiendo en la calle, con los pies al aire porque la manta es corta y no les llega a los pies. Son muchas veces que vemos a tantas personas así, durmiendo en la calle, y nosotros pasamos rápidos haciendo ver que no "hemos vista nada"...es Jesús, como esta escultura el que está durmiendo en la calle y sin hogar.
Las personas hemos perdido el respeto, la caridad y el amor por los necesitados. Vivimos en un mundo de "locos y egoístas".
Tu fotografía es fantástica Adele y toca el corazón.

Une oeuvre peu courante représentant Jésus dans cette posture. C'est même une curiosité. En tout cas, bien vu pour l'exercice.
