at the age of OLD I had the great fortune to witness the eclipse somewhere in the middle of the South Pacific a day's travel from Fiji on board the cruiseship "Millenium" ... a few photos will follow ....

had seen once a total eclipse in 1999 in Germany...a great experience I never will forget. What I remember most was the complete silence...nobody spoke...even the birds stopped singing... a rather dreamy atmosphere
