The Suleymaniye Mosque

Süleymaniye Mosque, built on the order of Sultan Süleyman ... the construction work began in 1550 and the mosque was finished in 1558 - much more info and great shots in Wikipedia (I found it difficult to photograph this view)

i totally agree with leonid: the "1st person feel" – what a great observation and remark! – and the vaguely constrained and fortress-like view through the silhouetted iron lattice make this image special and very atmospherical! the ethereal blue sky is where one longs to be… ; ) hugs, sabine.
