wow, SO close! you've obviously come a long way!!! bending forward like a hungry old man ; ), and taking the drop-shaped seed in his beak, saying "thank you, much obliged!" with his gleaming eyes. ; ) amazing capture, anna! greetings, sabine. p.s.: we have a red squirrel in the garden these days. he's both she and very obnoxious: squeezes himself right into the tiny bird feeder, stuffs himself on the buffet, burps (nah, i'm just imagining it ; )) and finally falls asleep (this is true!) right in the feeder for a while, while the sparrows sit on a twig close-by, hoping their nemesis will soon clear off! ; )
