I found this butterfly in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and cannot find her species anywhere .... H e l p :-)))

Help came fast from Cecile, thank you dear friend. It is a Banded Peacock !!
Anartia fatima, the banded peacock, is a butterfly in the family Nymphalidae. It is commonly found in south Texas, Mexico, and Central America but most studied in Costa Rica. This butterfly prefers subtropical climates and moist areas, such as near rivers. It spends much of its time in second-growth woodlands.

The diversity of butterfly species you have shown us is enviable. In Northern Germany we have only a few species, which we can find periodically. So i can't help to find out this species of butterfly.

Ein prachtvoller Schmetterling ist das mit wunderbaren Farben - schön, dass er sich noch dazu vor einem Hintergrund ablichten ließ, der farblich gut kontrastiert, so dass man ihn sehr schön erkennen kann.

Un shoot merveilleux de ce papillon Anartia fatima appelé aussi, paon bagué dont les couleurs sont ravissantes. Ton gros plan est très réussi.
