An MTA conductor stops to give assistance to some customers in the
South Ferry Station, after her No.1 Train of ten R62 railcars has arrived.

In addition to serving the IRT Broadway-7th Avenue Local 1 train as its final stop in Lower Manhattan, the station
also provides a passage to the nearby BMT Whitehall Street Station serving R and W trains on the Broadway Line.

I finally had the chance to experience this "new" South Ferry Station in October after serendipitously re-discovering the original South Ferry loop station, remembered from my early years of Subway riding, a few years ago. (*)
