Dear Viewer,

thanks for visiting my profile site.

Since 2005 I live in the wonderful artists' village of Worpswede (near Bremen, in Germany). I was born (in 1972), raised and educated in Dublin, Ireland.

Photography is more than just a hobby for me: it is a passion or even addiction, my attempt to nail down a small + finite fragment of time, otherwise lost on the strong + ever flowing current of infinite time.

It is something I love to do, to "wind down", in the precious little free time I have for myself, carved out of my family life and career. It’s a nice mixture of creative art and technique (a bit of "big toys for big boys"? maybe). And something I am growing into it every day. Getting better, I hope too.

My favorite subject? People, but esp. my one and only son, Ben. For sure.

My favorite camera is my NIKON D40X, my 1st DSLR.
A D90 is on the way ...

The future? Continue to grow & learn (with the help of practice, practice, practice + litt. + www-media).

Compact / Bridge Camera: None at the moment. I lost my CASIO EXILIM z75. On the look out for a new model. Preferably not a casio (I’d a lot of trouble with the NP-20 battery). The Fuji FinePix S1800 looks good for 141 eur …
