A Senior Moment

Friends came out to witness their 60 years of marriage. When it came time to cut the cake, the couple for some reason came to life. With a not so steady hand , she steady his hand and propped up his finger, then took aim to suck the icing off the tip. "With 60 years of marriage, there are no more surprises. You just go with what there is and love the moment". She had said.

It was nice to to see two aged people come alive and become the spring chickens they use to be.

The younger people stayed in the back, I'm not even sure they wanted any cake. Think what was important for me to know was that love always stays youthful even if the body ages.

When I was done and at home I gave thanks for the opportunity to see a little more about life I didn't know from behind my camera.

Who ever said that Love was only for the young.... They were soooo wrong. In his eyes she will still be that beautiful young woman that he married so long ago.
