The village looks very arranged in an ordered structure oft the streets and houses. Very impressive with the mountains in the background. I'm interested to hear somthing about the purpose of the canal in the middle of the picture.

  thank you,, Bernd .... und dies habe ich von Wiki kopiert: Flåmselvi or Moldåni is a 40-kilometre long river in Vestland county, Norway. The river begins as runoff from the Omnsbreen glacier about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) northwest of Finse in Ulvik Municipality. The river is known as the Moldåni river in this area. It then flows through a series of lakes heading to the northwest where it crosses into Aurland Municipality. The Bergen Line follows the river to Myrdal. At Myrdal, the river goes over the Kjosfossen waterfall and it follows Flåmsdalen valley and heads to the north. When it reaches the village of Flåm, it empties into Aurlandsfjorden, a branch off the main Sognefjorden

  danke, Berrnd ... umes kurz zu fassen: es ist ein Fluss, der am Omnsbreen Gletscher started und bei Flam in den Aurlandsfjord muendet :-))))

Das Bild wirkt durch seine angenehme Bildaufteilung. Die herabfallenden Linien von den Bergen stehen in schönem Kontrast zu dem Fjord. Und als I-Tüpfelchen das kleine rote Boot.

Ein sehr gute Ansicht ist das von einem augenscheinlich erhöhten Standort aus.
Wahrscheinlich von einer oberen Etage des Kreuzfahrtschiffes.
