Hier das Foto der "Bay Bridge", die Oakland und San Francisco miteinander verbindet. Die Brücke selbst ist wohl bei weitem nicht so bekannt wie die Golden Gate, aber genauso beeindruckend. Vor allem der San Francisco nahe Teil wurde erst kürzlich komplett neu gebaut (2013 war Eröffnung) und gilt seitdem als die breiteste und vor allem einer der teuersten Brücken in den gesamten USA. Der Bau dieser Neukonstruction verschlang nämlich 2.500% mehr als ursprünglich angenommen. Deutschland ist also nicht das einzige Land das Probleme mit ausufernden Bauprojekten hat. Dennoch schön anzusehen und Nachts besonders beindruckend, wenn erstmal die Lister an sind! Gemacht im Frühjahr 2018 von San Francisco aus.

Here the picture of the Bay Bridge, a bridge that connects Oakland with San Francisco. The bridge itself is probably not as famous as the Golden Gate but equally impressive. The newly build part close to San Francisco is known as the widest and one of the most expensive bridges in the US. The costs of this new construction (opened in 2013) overran the estimated cost by 2,500% summing up to an overall cost of 6.5 billion dollar! Still it is pretty nice to look at… especially at night when all the lights turn on! Snapped in spring 2018 from a San Francisco point of view.
