Bun Awk Phansa 2
During the days preceeding the eve of Awk Phansa, the monks prepare the beautiful decorated boats in the monasteries.
In the daytime all the monks and novices get a close shave.
On the fullmoon night all people gather at Wat Xieng Thong and the boats are brought to the river in an impressive candlelight procession.

Nice Shot.Ok Phansa beendet die drei monatige Regenzeit, während dieser Zeit dürfen die Mönche nur in Ausnahmefällen ihr Kloster über Nacht verlassen.
Diese Zeit dient dem intensiven Studium des Palikanons sowie der Meditation.
