Ein ganz besonderer Ort in Chile ist Pisagua. Kaum ein Tourist verirrt sich hierher, liegt er doch abseits der Hauptrouten und hat außer einigen verfallenden Häusern auf den ersten Blick nicht viel zu bieten.
Es ist jedoch einer der Orte an dem die Geschichte spürbar ist, hier leider die traurige Zeit der Pinochet Diktatur. Ein Gefängnis mitten im Ort erinnert noch daran, und man spürt, dass diese Phase dort noch nicht vollständig verarbeitet ist.

Good evening

I enjoyed perusing your nice pictures,also the comments were well documented and denotes a good knowledge of my country, I got the chance of explore from Arica to Punta Arenas , patrolling the bounders with my father a general of our Air force, as you say at your comments Pisagua was one of the many politic prisioners field of the regime, still not healed wounds..promoted by leftists and confirmed by rightists presidents, the name is "Bailan solas" because they are widows..now grand mothers whose grand sons are striving to find their grand fathers killed somewhere..nowhere.places with no naqmes or thrown to the sea.whatever I understand this issue quite well and still can't cope with it but I'm sure that the reconciliation will come sooner than later..is a necessary step towards the so needed union.

Just a month ago my father now 83 Y/O..was requested by the judge of human rights at Copiapo..he got nothing to do with killing but he was wittness so no worries we will find them, the slaughters but not the bodies, most of them are dead by now.

A hug and many congratulations for this stroll down to amnesia lane. The B/W is terrific.

Die Lichtstimmung auf der Strasse ist grandios !
Deine sw-Technik schafft viele Möglichkeiten und ich finde sie beneidenswert, auch wenn die Leitungen rechts oben ins Nirwana verschwinden:-)
Das zitierte video zeigt die lebenden Emotionen der Bevölkerung; den Sting-Tekst kann ich leider nicht auf mich einwirken lassen (keine Spanisch Kenntnisse...).

Perfekte Blickführung. Man wandert regelrecht die Straße entlang wie die Personen auf dem Bild. Die SW-Umsetzung erzeugt ein Licht, dass einen die maroden Fassaden erst auf den zweiten Blick wahrnehmen läßt.
