Good control of Depth of field. One thing I learned in this Life at 50mm is to not always go to the f1.8 or 2.8 that you can still get good results at f4 or 5.6 while increasing your odds of keeping the main focal point in good detail. Sometimes the f1.8 or 2.8 can leave the main focal point blurred if there is any movement in the subject at all.
