Etna in Sicily is the tallest volcano in Europe(3300m) and one of the most active. It's last activation was reported in 2012.

Etna, Vésuve, Stromboli, Surtsey, des volcans que j'ai eu l'occasion de visiter!
avec la >Montagne pelée, La soufrière de Guadeloupe, de Sainte Lucie, le Piton de la Fournaise ect....

della serie Etna preferisco questa... forse per la varietà del paesaggio e per il campo di ripresa.. sembra un paesaggio lunare.

The shapes and holes and cones formed by previous erruptions is amazing in this shot. It must have been an amazing experience to see this awesome place.
