Fichtelbergbahn at Hammerunterwiesenthal

It is a winter evening in 2008, in the quiet Erzgebirge-region village of Hammerunterwiesenthal
as, with a mighty CHUFF, this steam locomotive of the Fichtelbergbahn gets its train moving.

The steam-powered narrow gauge Fichtelbergbahn connects with the Deutsche Bahn at Cranzahl for the
steep climb through the Erzgebirge region to the ski resort of Oberwiesenthal. And, yes, that is a dining car!

There is sth very nostalgic ab the sight of the puffs of clouds coming up from the steam locomotive.
The evening winter landscape around adds to the image and makes me think os the past, of the gone, of the lost...
