Follow That Chopper! - A New York City Skyscape

Flying over the northern tip of Manhattan, the view is toward the University Heights Bridge
over the Harlem River, connecting W 207th St in the Inwood neighborhood of Upper Manhattan
with West Fordham Road in the University Heights section of the Bronx.

The swing bridge, which opened in 1908, was designated a New York City Landmark in 1984.

In front of the other helicopter just beyond the Metro North Railroad’s University Heights Station
and the Major Deegan Expressway, the green dome belongs to the Hall of Fame for Great Americans
on the campus of Bronx Community College.

And just upriver of the bridge on the Manhattan side can be seen the large 207th St Yard,
which services and overhauls several train types on the New York City Subway system.
