An inn in a protected nature area ? What's that supposed to mean ?

Nothing. The picture is a little bit misleading.
It seems like the edifice was built in the middle of the forest.
Not so. The inn is located (since 1850) at the end of a majestic beech lane where also the forest ends.

After searching for fungi all day long on the cold and wet forest floor, it felt good to have a warm drink over there.

Location : ‘Het Broek’ at Blaasveld, Belgium.

A great bit of deception. Thats what I like in the arts, especially photography is that the artist can create an illusion by manipulating the perspective or lighting, etc.but it's not really an illusion but truth seen differently.

Even if on the outskirts of the forest, I wonder who is the inn frequented by? Are there so many people looking for fungi and other forest treasure? The age of the inn is impressive: 163 years old?? Must have witnessed a lot!:)
I like the composition of the picture: an alley between the trees with this beautiful little inn at the end like the reward for the tired treasure hunter.
