Island - Norðurland eystra - Wasserfall Selfoss - Jökulsá á Fjöllum
Es war eine monumentale, urzeitliche Landschaft die sich auf unserer Fotoreise durch den Norden von Island präsentierte.
In der nordischen Mythologie, wo die Schöpfungsgeschichte der Welt beschrieben wird, lag in Niflheim ( Dunkle Welt ) die Urquelle Hvergelmir die als Mutter aller Flüsse der Welt galt und diese mit Wasser speiste. Wie diese bizarre vulkanische Landschaft wohl auch die Fantasie der Menschen in früheren Zeiten anregte kann man sich auf den Wanderungen durch diese Naturlandschaft sehr gut vorstellen.

Gratulation zu diesem Bild. Es ist erstaunlich wie viele Farben man in dem Gestein sehen kann.Auch das Format passt sehr gut und hebt das Bild von anderen ab.
