Cold and wet weather and plus fog... but many people are going around anyway.
Oh well ...all tourists attend the same places and walk the same streets for fear of getting lost in the labyrinth of the city.... It' so easy to lose the right way. It often happens to me if I go to explore areas that I don't know so well.
Messrs Gondoliers are ready to sail but I think they will have had no many customers then...

  ..this is a nice area, because there are nearly no tourist-shops, no "Armani"-boutiques or something like that. It's Venice from the poorer side...It's funny to me, that you say you get lost in the labyrinth of the city sometimes...but I think after a few minutes you see something you know (to me it's mostly a church) and then you'll get on the right way again...there's a lot to explore, yes...lots of lilttle "campos" or "campiellos" and so much coffee-bars and little shops...Ciao, mia cara, buona giornata! ich liebe ja diese Nebelstimmung so sehr,

  ..das ist ganz in der Nähe des Bahnhofs und dieses Viertel ist sozusagen nicht touristisch (mit Boutiquen, Edel-Läden etc.) herausgeputzt, sondern eher ein wenig "billig" und auch leicht verkommen...aber sehr lebendig. In dieser Jahreszeit und bei diesem Wetter sieht man hier keine Touristen...Liebe Grüße und einen schönen Tag noch! Ansgar

cold and humid in winter ... hot and humid in summer ... it's always a problem for our bones, but at least the place is beautiful.
