  E' vero anche se in parte.
  Io ammiro molto il tuo stile (più accademico del mio) e vorrei tanto saperlo fare. Ma sono autodidatta senza regole e ho trovato questa strada un po' folle e sopra le righe.

Your editing of this photo gives a look of an very old one...could be a scene 100 years ago...and today it still looks the same...You catch here the "rotten beauty" of this city - but it's even proud, and behind the patina there's beauty....A very fine work, dear sister!   ...I can see beauty in the dirt...my feeling for art and aesthetics was evolved in the late sixties and early seventies: Pop Art, Minimal Art and the works of Cy Twombly, Richard Serra or Joseph Beuys...so consequently I see "beauty" in rotten walls etc...therefore it's normal to me to photograph even the very bad corners of Venice (are there any? :-)) - because this is not "bad" to me - it's old, it's rotten..but under this surface there is another thing, call it "beauty" or somewhat else...And, Yes, I love this city...Love to you, also - Ciao, mia cara Crissy, buona giornata!

  Talking about contemporary painting I love german expressionism of Gerald Richter and Ansel Kiefer. I'm sure you know them both.

  ...regarding Anselm Kiefer: do you know his work "Dein goldenes Haar Margarethe" (your golden hair, Margarethe)? Its made after a poem by Paul Celan: Todesfuge (Death Fugue) which describes the Holocaust. One of the most impressive poems I know. But so sad and depressing...Ciao, cara Sorella, buonanotte!   Unfortunately, not knowing German, I have to accept translations made by others that never give the same mood as the original.I like the lines in which he writes:
  "then you rise as smoke in the air
  then you have a grave in the clouds
  because you don't lie tight".
  (I didn't know him yet. Thanks for teaching me.)Of course it is sad to read that, but it is the quite recent affair that we must not forget...It is not so unlikely to happen again, because human nature is bad and does'nt change.
  Kiefer seems to remind us of this curse by his works.

Effetto ammirevole.
La fotografia può e deve essere molto di più di semplice scatto.
Gli strumenti che oggi abbiamo a disposizione ci spingono ad aumentare la nostra creatività.

  Francamente non mi aspettavo tanto consenso in una Community di bravi Fotografi. A dirla tutta a volte io parto da foto anche molto mediocri (le mie) i così detti "scartini", per concedere loro una nuova opportunità.

Magari un purista della fotografia potrà restare (anche comprensibilmente) perplesso, a me che non cerco corrispondenze a modelli ideali prestabiliti l'effetto di questa "pittoricità" piace assai, complimenti. E "colonna sonora" intrigante e adeguata.

  Sì infatti, e ci tengo che passi per tutt'altro genere dalla fotografia anche se tutto il lavoro parte quasi sempre da una foto.
  Siccome non mi posso definire fotografa ( se non della domenica) sfrutto volentieri la libertà concessa da Fotocommunity di pubblicare questo genere.
  Sono molto contenta quando incontra la curiosità di qualcuno.

  Dalla commistione di vari generi, tecniche e supporti ci sono stati risultati ammirevoli. La Fotografia è terreno molle, i cui confini e canoni sono oltremodo flessibili, nei suoi labili recinti l' occhio e la tecnica dell' autore fanno la differenza.
  E questo ne è un bell' esempio
