Green Frog

Well hidden in a pond, I spotted this green frog (also known as common water frog), a striking animal, capable of living both on land and in water.

With its long powerful hind legs, it is the fastest amphibian !
The placement of the large eyes allows the frog to see predators without moving the rest of its body.

Depending on its habitat region, it can be found in various colors : bronze, brown, and different shades of green.

Dutch name : Middelste Groene kikker
German name : Teichfrosch
Latin name : Pelophylax klepton esculentus (previous Rana klepton esculenta)

Den hast du aber richtig schon in Szene gesetzt, nicht nur farblich ein Hingucker auch das der Lebensraum so ersichtlich ist. Eine gelungene Aufnahme aus der Naturwelt.

das Spotlicht ist hier sehr stimmungsvoll - du hast den grünen Hüpfer wunderbar im Blattwerk eingefangen, schön auch das er noch im Wasser sitzt. Eine herrliche Aufnahme von dem Wasserfrosch und Schreihals - ich bin begeistert. Gruß manfred.
