Dies war einmal das Eingangsgebäude zum größten Kino Schottlands. In der auf der Rückseite des Gebäudes anschließenden Halle fanden 12000 Besucher aud Sitzplätzen Platz. ;-)

    Ich veröffentliche meine pics ja auch andernorts und freue mich dann auch über solche Rückmeldungen wie z.B. diese von Maurice:
    hi from london! i think arthur budges parents actually lived there after turning it into a house(seventies?).my grandmother had the farm next to arthurs(upper mellsetter)and i remember arthur taking us to the old cinema in the early seventies for a wee look.

    Just down the road from Lyness you find the magnificently incongrous frontage of a large theatre and cinema, which was the entrance to the Garrison Theatre in WW2. ;-)
    Ja, Gerd, war das "große" Kino auf Hoy, Orkney. Das "kleine" Kino stand auf Flotta: nur 10 000 Plätze ... obwohl bei einer Boxveranstaltung auch mal mehr als 12 000 drin gewesen sein sollen ...;-)
