Heath Spotted Orchid
I found a few exceptional plants while exploring the swamps of ‘Hohes Venn’, the greatest National Park of Belgium.
The heath spotted orchid (also known as moorland spotted orchid) is a species of wild orchid.
It grows in typical habitats like fens & bogs, wet meadows & wet forests and margins of streams.
Pretty rare in Belgium.
Dutch name : Gevlekte Orchis
German name : Geflecktes Knabenkraut
Latin name : Dactylorhiza maculata maculata
